Abstract
Education policy reforms have significant effects on curriculum development because they determine the paths, priorities, and practices in the school system. This present study examines the impact of contemporary education policy reforms on curriculum development through qualitative and quantitative data gathered through surveys and statistical comparisons. Results show that policy change has led to increased emphasis on integrating technology, differentiated instruction, and competency-based learning. The argument presented in this study is that although reform measures have promoted desirable changes, challenges continue to exist with regard to implementation fidelity, teacher preparedness, and support resources. Proposed solutions include continuous professional development and integration of adaptive measures of assessment to enable curriculum reform to keep up with contemporary education requirements.
